Crocs Dark Romance

Can Crocs be both fashionable and comfortable?

This inherently becomes the plotline driving this Twilight-inspired, Cinematic parody. The story is set in a small Pacific Northwest town with a strict “No Crocs Allowed” policy. At the center of our story we have a bookstore employee STELLA, played by gamer influencer Valkyrae who falls for FREDWARD, a rebellious/non-conformist, dreamboat whose feet are exclusively clad in Crocs.

This Crocsperian love story was co-developed by Crocs internal creative-marketing teams and Vehicle. The film trailer was shot over the span of two foggy spring days in Portland Oregon, it was produced and directed by Vehicle in a host of locations and with a sizable village of cast and crew. Vehicle brought in Portland born fashion photographer and longtime collaborator Cooper Pattison, who worked in lockstep with our film production—capturing model and product stills that would ultimately inhabit screens, banners and film posters everywhere.

Crocs’ internal creative team also contributed to the post-production process, with Vehicle acting as the finishing house for the final film—ensuring every frame landed with the right balance of irony, drama, and unequivocal Crocs style.

In the end, this impossible love story found strong footing in a global audience. Selling every single shoe in the collection, garnering 11 million organic impressions and a strong engagement by Crocs enthusiasts and converts everywhere. Proving that challenging societal norms and embracing personal-style can… in fact… be comfortable.
